Where Student Advisory Centre is now
Student Advisory Centre is a children and youth charity that started on 1st of July 2003.
Starting as a helpline to help youths who runaway from home, the centre expanded quickly to offer various interventions programs.
Programs to help the community
Today, the centre offers 5 key initiatives to reach out to reach out to the various disadvantaged young people in Singapore. They are
(i) Helping students with a high potential from leaving school to stay in school.
(ii) Giving free meals to students from financially disadvantaged families.
(iii) Helping students with low self esteem gain greater confidence
(iv) Helping students with delinquent behavior’s recognize and correct their actions
(v) Helping students with a low interest and inability to study effectively reach their potential.
(vi) Cyber Counseling for students facing problems and difficulties.
